Vologda – New Year Capital of Russia

The Ministry of Culture of Russia has developed the federal programme in compliance with which each year advisory council selects New Year Capital of Russia. The capital hosts a variety of events, including charitable ones, and organizes celebrations.

You are invited to meet New Year 2014 in a special way by Vologda – one of the oldest cities in Russia. Vologda is of the same age as Moscow, the storeroom of Russian traditions and home of amazing arts and crafts.

Within 10 days the town and nearby tourist attractions will offer guests to participate in New Year and Christmas activities. At New Year's night at Kremlin square the best artisitic teams of Vologda and invited Russian stars will gather.
